DESIGN RATIONALE:
Founded in 2015, Unbranded Brewing opened as the largest craft brewery in South Florida. The founder is a descendant of Samuel Maverick, the Texas cattle rancher who made the term “maverick” famous. Samuel Maverick left his cows unbranded, being different from all the other ranchers of the time. Nowadays, a maverick is someone who does things their own way and pushes against the grain. This spirit and approach were the inspiration for the name and every aspect of the brand persona. The creative task became an effort to create a visual and brand style that was simple and bold, and showed the spirit and tenacity of being a “maverick.” Doing things a bit differently than everyone else, and owning it every step along the way, is apparent in their product offerings, and in the branding and visual style we created.
